Jonathan has had a knack for technology ever since the second grade when he would get excused from class to help teachers fix their computer problems. Computers are just his thing.

At Slocum Design Studio, Jonathan plays an essential part in all web projects. His knowledge of front-end development is exceptional, and his back-end programming skills are equally comprehensive. Jonathan also has a keen eye for design. The design of a site will make or break a visitor’s impression of a service, product, or company, but it also has to compliment the functionality of your site.

Jonathan has worked for years with non-profit organizations and small businesses helping them to get their voice out and expand their audience. Even though he is still in college, he has been an active member of the professional web community for years. But he does not only excel in the industry, he also seeks to excel in other areas as well.

In 2007 Jonathan played a key part in establishing a student chapter of AIGA (the professional association for design) at Johnson & Wales University Providence campus where he attends college. Since then he has been an active member of both the Johnson & Wales University student chapter, and the Rhode Island chapter. Jonathan was elected as President of the student group from 2009-2010. During his tenure as group President, he made it his mission to raise awareness about the group within the student body while promoting its key values and stances on design in the community. In 2010 he joined the AIGA Rhode Island Chapter’s board where he served the role of communications co-chair.

In May 2010 he graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a triple major (AS in Web Development, BS. in Computer Graphics & New Media, and a BS. in Web Management & Internet Commerce). When not behind the computer, Jonathan partakes in many hobbies and activities. He is a passionate baseball fan, coaching baseball clinics year round for Brian Rose Baseball. He is an avid sports fan, photographer, and roller coaster enthusiast. In addition to all of that, Jonathan also dabbles in stand-up comedy.
